God makes all things beautiful in their time and gives us the capacity to reflect on His work. The writer of Ecclesiastes reminds us that while we cannot fully understand every divine purpose, God’s timing and the simple gifts of life, food, drink, and meaningful work, are meant to be enjoyed as blessings.
Ecclesiastes 3:11-13Easy-to-Read Version
God gave us the ability to think about his world, but we can never completely understand everything he does. And yet, he does everything at just the right time. I learned that the best thing for people to do is to be happy and enjoy themselves as long as they live. God wants everyone to eat, drink, and enjoy their work. These are gifts from God.
Reminding myself also:
Choose gratitude today: notice one small gift, your meal, a task completed, a moment of rest, and thank God for it.
Work with joy: treat daily tasks as opportunities to serve and to receive God’s provision.
Let go of needing all the answers and rest in God’s timing.
Dear Blessed Lord Jesus, thank You and praise You for the gift’s You place in my life. Help me to see Your timing, to enjoy the simple blessings of food, rest, and work, and to serve with a grateful heart. Give me contentment and the wisdom to rejoice in each day. Love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the Honor and glory in Your Precious Name Amen.
