“My Redeemer Lives”

Job 19:25-27 ESV For I know that my Redeemer lives, and at the last he will stand upon the earth. And after my skin has been thus destroyed, yet in my flesh I shall see God, whom I shall see for myself, and my eyes shall behold, and not another. My heart faints within me!

Job’s words shift from complaint to a surprising expression of trust. Amid loss and confusion, he speaks of a living Redeemer and looks forward to personal vindication and meeting God. This isn’t abstract theology, but a deeply personal hope that turns his suffering into anticipation.

When grief or injustice feels overwhelming, speak a simple confession of hope, name the Redeemer and let that steady you. When you’re tempted to measure worth by public opinion, remember that your true record is kept by God. Offer this hope to others: presence, a listening ear, and the reminder that suffering does not erase the promise of being seen and restored.

What part of your story needs the assurance of a Redeemer today?

How would believing in a future, embodied encounter with God changes the way you carry current pain?

Father God, thank You and praise You for our Redeemer who lives. In our confusion and hurt, give us the courage to hold hope that outlives our suffering. Help us to trust Your vindication and to bring that hope to others. Love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Jesus Precious Name Amen.
