I have set the Lord always before me; Because He is my right hand, I shall not be shaken. Psalm 16:8ESV:
When David says he has set the Lord always before him, he’s describing a steady, intentional focus. This isn’t a one-time decision but a daily posture: placing God at the center of our thoughts, choices, and reactions. Calling God his “right hand” pictures strength, nearness, and help, the place of power and support. When we keep our eyes on God instead of our problems, fear loses its grip and we stand firm even when life rocks us. The promise isn’t that trouble disappears, but that with God at our side we will not be shaken. No matter what we go through keep your eyes on Him.
Dear Blessed Lord Jesus, thank You for always being before me and beside me. Help me to keep my eyes fixed on You when storms come. Be my strength and my steadying hand so I will not be shaken. Fill me with courage to trust You in every moment. Love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Your Mighty Precious Name Lord Jesus Amen.
