“Love God, All Heart, Soul, Strength, & Mind”

The man answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind.’ Also, ‘Love your neighbor the same as you love yourself.’ ”Luke 10:27 ERV: The command appears again and leads into the Good Samaritan example of practical compassion. Short devotion and short prayer. This verse restates the twofold command: love God and love your neighbor. Jesus follows that command with the Good Samaritan to show that true love is practical, it sees need, crosses barriers, and acts even when it costs us. Compassion is not a feeling only; it is compassion in action: stopping, tending wounds, and paying the price to restore another. When we obey the command, our worship of God becomes visible in mercy toward the vulnerable.

Dear Blessed Lord Jesus, teach me to love You with my whole heart and to love my neighbor with the same urgency. Give me eyes to see need, courage to cross the lines that divide, and hands ready to help. Fill my heart with mercy so my faith is shown in practical kindness. Love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Your Precious Name Amen and Amen. So Be It!
