Matthew 6:34 Bible verse in decorative calligraphy on old paper

“Don’t Carry Tomorrow”

Matthew 6:34 (KJV) “Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”

Jesus isn’t telling you to ignore tomorrow/ He’s telling you not to carry it. Tomorrow has its own weight, its own needs, its own grace. But today, today is where God meets you. You don’t have to solve every problem at once. You don’t have to stretch yourself into places you cannot reach. You don’t have to anticipate every need, every conversation, every demand. God gives strength for the day, not for the imaginary burdens of tomorrow. When you feel pulled in too many direction. When people expect more than you can give… When your mind tries to run ahead into what‑ifs and what‑might‑be. Jesus gently calls you back: “Stay here. Stay with Me. Today is enough.”

Father God, I cannot be everywhere at once, and I cannot control what others say, assume, or take from me. You see what I cannot see, and You hear what I cannot hear. Guard my name where I cannot go. Protect my heart from the weight of gossip, misunderstanding, and silent theft. Give me wisdom to know when to help and when to step back. Strengthen me to honor the responsibilities You’ve placed in my hands without guilt or pressure from others. Teach me to trust that You defend me, You, guide me, and You cover every place I cannot reach. Keep my spirit steady, my boundaries firm, and my peace untouched. Love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Jesus Precious Name Amen.
