“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!” – 1 John 3:1

John bursts into worship at the astonishing truth that God’s love doesn’t merely reach us, it lavishes on us an identity: we are called children of God. This verse invites us to live from belonging, not from striving.
