“Come to me all of you who are tired from the heavy burden you have been forced to carry. I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28 ERV
This verse invites the weary to come to Jesus not as a last resort but as a safe place to lay down burdens. To rest is a gift, not a reward; surrender is the path to renewal. Practically, this means naming one heavy thing today, handing it over in honest prayer, and trusting that rest can begin even before circumstances change. What one burden can you name and offer up right now? What small step toward rest can you take today (pause, breathe, say no, ask for help). Here is the invitation to all for rest and reality, but we must take the initiative to realize it.
Dear Blessed Lord Jesus, I bring my tired heart and heavy load to you. Give me the courage to let go and the grace to rest in your care. Renew my strength and help me trust your gentle lead. Love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Your Mighty Precious Name Amen.
