“Working For The Lord”

“Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ.” Colossians 3:23-24

Work as worship. When your tasks feel small or thankless, remember in these verses your effort is seen by Christ and given eternal value. Let each routine duty be done with wholeheartedness, not for applause but as an offering of faith. Practically, choose one small task today to do with extra care and a grateful heart, and notice how that shifts your outlook. Rest and worth in Christ. Colossians 3:23–24 reminds us that our value comes from serving the Lord, not from human approval. If you’re older or living with a disability, your faithful heart and patient presence are meaningful work before God. Let each slow step, each gentle act of care, be offered as worship; God honors the intention and the love behind what you do, even when strength is limited.

Dear Blessed Lord Jesus, help me work with a willing heart. Give me diligence in the ordinary, humility when praise is absent, and joy in serving You through every task. Hold me in Your rest. Help me trust that my worth is in You, not in what others say. Give me peace when I must move slowly, courage when I feel overlooked, and the assurance that every small act done in love matters to You. Love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Your Precious Name Amen.
