“Work of the Holy Spirit, Not Our Own”

There is a quiet freedom in remembering that the life God calls us to is not powered by our strength. We don’t produce holiness, wisdom, or spiritual understanding by effort or willpower. These are the gifts and movements of the Holy Spirit within us. Our part is surrender, open hands, open heart, open ears. His part is transformation, shaping, guiding, correcting, comforting, empowering. When praise rises from our lips, when forgiveness softens our heart, when peace settles where fear once lived, we are witnessing His work. Not our achievement, but His presence. Not our striving, but His grace. The Spirit does in us what we could never do alone. And because it is His work, it is steady, faithful, and sure.

“But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost. shall teach you all things.” John 14:26

This shows why we ask Him first, He teaches, reminds, and guides.

Holy Spirit, Work in me in ways I cannot work in myself. Let Your wisdom guide me, Your strength uphold me, and Your love shape my heart. May everything good in me be the evidence of Your presence, not my own effort in Jesus Precious Name Amen.
