“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” — Psalm 147:3
Healing is rarely quick, and it’s almost never simple. It comes in layers, a little at a time, like dawn slowly pushing back the night. And in that slow, sacred process, God plants joy. Joy in healing isn’t loud. It’s quiet, tender, and often unnoticed until one day you realize, the ache isn’t as sharp, the fear isn’t as heavy, the tears don’t fall as quickly. Healing is God’s gentle work. Joy is the evidence that He’s been there. Joy rises when a heart begins to breathe again. Joy rises when strength returns in small ways. Joy rises when God touches the places we thought were too broken to mend. You don’t have to be fully healed to carry joy. Joy walks with you through the process, step by step, breath by breath, prayer by prayer. The same God who binds wounds also restores joy.
Father God, thank You for being the Healer of my heart. Touch every place that hurts, every memory that weighs heavy, and every worry that steals peace. Bring healing to those I pray for today and let joy rise in the places where You are restoring us. Cover us with Your comfort, strengthen us with Your presence, and fill us with joy that grows as You heal. Love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Jesus Precious Name Amen.
