“This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” — Psalm 118:24
Joy doesn’t always arrive in big moments. Most days, it slips in quietly through the small things, a breath of fresh air, a kind word, a moment of peace, a memory that warms the heart. God hides joy in the ordinary, so we never have to go far to find it. A cup of coffee shared with someone you love. A soft breeze through the window. A task completed. A prayer whispered. A reminder that you made it through another day. These small joys are God’s way of saying, “I’m here. I’m with you. I’m caring for you in ways you might overlook.” When life feels overwhelming, noticing the small things becomes a spiritual practice. It slows the heart. It lifts the mind. It opens the door for joy to rise again. Joy grows when we pause long enough to see the blessings tucked into the corners of our day.
Father God, thank You and praise You for the small joys You scatter throughout my day. Help me notice them, appreciate them, and share them with others. Let Your joy rise in the simple moments and remind me that You are near in every detail. Fill my heart with quiet gladness and let it overflow to those I care for. Love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Jesus Precious Name Amen.”
