Then people who live in the west
will respect the Lord’s name.
And people who live in the east
will see how great he is.
The Lord will attack them like a fast river.
He will blow them away with a strong wind.
Isaiah 59:19
Isaiah paints a picture of a world where injustice has piled up so high that people feel swallowed by darkness. But then comes the turning point: God Himself rises. Not timidly. Not slowly. Like a rushing river driven by the breath of the Lord. His movement is sudden, unstoppable, cleansing, and unmistakable. From the west to the east, every direction of life, His name will be honored again. This is the God who steps in when human strength fails. The God who lifts His standard when the enemy presses hard. The God who makes His presence known like a flood that cannot be resisted.
