“Where Mercy Meets Us”

“And he shall take of the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it with his finger upon the mercy seat eastward; and before the mercy seat shall he sprinkle of the blood with his finger seven times.” Leviticus 16:14

The mercy seat was the one place in Israel’s worship where sin and mercy met face‑to‑face. Once a year, the high priest stepped behind the veil and sprinkled the blood on the mercy seat, right where God said He would meet His people. It wasn’t a place of fear. It was a place of covering, compassion, and restored fellowship. We all have moments when we feel the weight of what we’ve done or what we’ve carried. But God still invites us to the mercy seat, not to shame us, but to cleanse us. Not to expose us, but to cover us. The place that should have been judgment becomes the place of grace.

Father God, thank You for meeting me at the mercy seat. Cover my failures with Your compassion and draw me close again. Let mercy be the loudest voice in my life today. Love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Jesus Precious Name Amen.
