“When Justice Has Eyes”

Ezekiel 3:17–18 (NIV)
“Son of man, I have made you a watchman… so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me.”

Witness and Warning

Inspired by the Crane and the Vultures

One crane stood still, while eight circled death. Seven watched, but one devoured. And the lone witness saw it all.

Not every eye that sees is blind to justice. Not every death is without meaning. Not every silence is surrender.

Something has to die to live, but not every death is holy. Not every feast is righteous. Not every watcher is weak.

Let the crane remind us: to stand, to see, to speak, to remember.

Isaiah 61:8 (NIV)

“For I, the Lord, love justice; I hate robbery and wrongdoing. In my faithfulness I will reward my people and make an everlasting covenant with them.”
