“The Caregiver’s Heart”

Galatians 6:9 “Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

Proverbs 15:1 “A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.” This verse honors a Caregivers desire to respond with grace even when it’s hard.

Hebrews 6:10 “God is not unjust; He will not forget your work and the love you have shown Him as you have helped His people.” Even when your patient doesn’t notice, God does.

“When Care Feels Heavy”

I give my all each day, with quiet hands unseen,
Holding up a heavy world on weary, shaking knees.

I care with love beyond the words, but love can’t always shield
Against the sting of sharp remarks or wounds that never healed.

I know your heart is hurting, I know your pride feels sore,
But sometimes all your shadows weigh down on me even more.

I’m trying to stay patient, to serve with grace and light,
But even gentle hands grow tired in the middle of the night.

When you were the one who faltered, I helped you through your pain,
Though your body struggled, I never let complaints remain.

So, meet me with some softness, a thank you, or a smile,
A little bit of kindness can help me go the mile.

When illness once found you, I stood with steady grace,
I never turned your pain on you or made demands to face.

Care is built in partnership, in tenderness we share,
I can keep on giving when I feel you also care.
