In order for the mind to heal the body. You have to remember the body before it was sick. How good it felt. How good it can be again. Every moment of everyday, God is working on your body mind and soul. Erase all the data from your memory bank temporarily and pray to the one who can make your healing happen. Just saying!
The body holds on to memories of sickness, but it also carries the memory of wholeness. Bringing that memory to the surface isn’t denial, it’s a way to remind the mind of what it can work toward again. “Every moment of every day, God is working on your body, mind, and soul” feels like the steady rhythm of worship. It’s the kind of truth that often slips away when we’re worn out or in pain, worth stating simply and without drama.
“Erase all the data from your memory bank temporarily” that’s such a way of saying stop rehearsing the pain long enough to let God speak something new. Not pretending the hurt isn’t real but giving the mind a moment of Sabbath.
I’m not telling people to pray harder; I’m telling them to pray open. To pray from a place where healing is possible, not impossible. God hears your honest cries even the milestones. He is proud of your accomplishments.
