“God’s Deep Care For His Creation”

Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows. –
– Matthew 10:29-31

God’s providence and profound care for His creation are evident in Jesus’ teaching. He employs the example of sparrows, small birds sold for the lowest denomination of currency, to demonstrate that even creatures deemed insignificant by society are under God’s vigilant care. Not a single sparrow falls to the ground without the Father’s, knowledge will. Jesus then directs His attention to His disciples, coring that God’s concern extends to the smallest aspects of their lives, such as the number of hairs on their heads. This imagery emphasizes that God and values each individual intimately. The reassurance, “Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows,” serves to fortify the disciple’s faith, reminding them of God’s cherishing and protective nature, even amidst adversity.
