“I Am Known”

When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
– 1 Corinthians 13:11-12

Paul is talking about spiritual maturity and the clearer understanding that comes with it. He uses the metaphor of childhood and adulthood to emphasize the difference between our current understanding and the fullness of knowledge we will have one day. This verse is part of a larger chapter where Paul discusses the nature of love and its importance in the life of a believer.
