Jehovah-Jireh is one of the most popular names for God and it means “the Lord will provide”. It is first used in the Old Testament with a story of Abraham and his son Isaac. “He went over and took the ram and sacrificed it as a burnt offering instead of his son Isaac. And to this day it is said, “On the mountain of the Lord it will be provided.”, it says “And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah Jireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.”
Genesis 22:13-14 NIV)
God has provided for our eternal salvation by giving the greatest gift He could give. Jesus Christ His Son,to die for our sins. Paul says God, has given us the greatest possible gift, God will surely also freely provide for all our needs, even our smaller, daily needs. God knows what we need, and He will provide. God is Jehovah Jireh.
It reads in Romans 8:32: The apostle Paul says, “God who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?”
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only-begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” John 3:16.
