Any promise you make with someone whether in writing or verbal is a truth. Once a promise is broken it becomes a lie. So don’t make promises you can’t keep, nor force anyone to make a promise to you, unless you own it. Only problem is: God owns everything. Brothers and sisters in all honesty keep your promise with each other. These promises are made with God, as God has made to you. God keeps his promises. Gods Child keeps His or hers. If you don’t make a promise and live free in righteousness. You are God’s child free from bondage. Truth is joy.
